Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani Leads Mourning Procession for the Martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima in Qom

A massive mourning procession marking the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Sadiqah Tahirah Fatima Zahra (PBUH) was held in Qom on Monday, November 24, with the prominent presence of Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani. The procession moved solemnly from the Grand Ayatollah’s office on Safaiyeh Street toward the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH).

Hawzah News Agency- the gathering began at 11:00 a.m. with large groups of clerics, seminarians, and residents of Qom joining the march. Chants of lamentation, elegies, and recitations honoring the virtues of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH) echoed through the streets as participants expressed their devotion and grief.

Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani, known for his deep attachment to the Ahlulbayt (PBUT) and his emphasis on commemorating the occasions related to Hazrat Zahra (PBUH), walked at the front of the procession. The presence of the senior religious authority drew thousands of mourners, turning the event into one of the most significant Fatimiyya commemorations of the year.

The procession proceeded toward the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH), where mourners gathered for further recitations and speeches highlighting the spiritual, historical, and ethical dimensions of the life of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH). Scholars emphasized her unmatched virtues, her pivotal role in the preservation of the message of Islam, and her enduring legacy as the model of purity and devotion.

Local officials and clerics noted that such large-scale gatherings reflect the enduring reverence of the Iranian people for the Daughter of the Messenger of God (PBUH) and their commitment to keeping alive the teachings and values of the Ahlulbayt (PBUT).

Ceremonies for Fatimiyyah will continue throughout the week in Qom and other cities, featuring lectures, mourning rituals, and cultural programs dedicated to honoring the memory of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH).
